Shower Curtain Play Map

What a fantastic idea!!!  I love dollar store finds!!!  I came across this on Filth Wizardry.  Very creative and EASY too!  Just tape a shower curtain liner from the Dollar Store to the floor and draw out a map.  The kiddos can color it and then use their "cars" on it too.

It would be a fun idea to draw out your plan for the next day.  Maybe a trip to the grocery store, the library and the park.  The next day to Grandma's house, the school and the mall.

Teacher's favorite things

What a great way to start out the school year.  Find out your child's teachers favorite things so you can shower her with them all year.  I think my teacher friends would love this idea and it would sure make shopping for the infamous Christmas gift easier.  Print your own here.

Indoor Camping

So lately I've been thinking about how fun it would be to have a camping birthday party for our son...ok,ok he's only 3 months old but you need to be ready for this kind of thing.  Looks like it would be fun for him when he's 6 or so.  So my search for ideas began and I came across this AMAZING indoor camping party at TSJ Photography.  Check out her site for links to all the goods she used.

Friendship Bracelet Kit

Friendship bracelets remind me of our annual trips to Central Oregon.  My cousins and I would spend plenty of time making various bracelets.  I love this cute gift idea!!!  It was a collaboration between the ladies at Tatertots and Jello and the sisters at Eighteen25.

to make a kit to keep or give as a gift, you'll need:

  • a DMC craft organizer (ours came with plastic floss bobbins)
  • a pack or two of embroidery floss
  • a small clipboard (6x9)
  • large elastic (to wrap around the box)
  • tag download

They covered their clipboard with the Friendship Bracelet Kit label.

If you need help remembering how to make these bracelets check out this website.

ColorSnap App.

I love watching paint color trends and when Sherwin-Williams sends out their new colors and updates me with magazines and emails I pay attention!!!  This time they caught my eye with their new app for IPhones, Blackberries and Androids.  It's called COLORSNAP.  Just snap a picture of anything you like the color of and it will match it with their colors.  It will even come up with a list of colors that compliment your color.  WOW!!  If that's not enough you can lighten and darken the color until it's exactly what you want.  That sure makes things simple.  Now keep in mind you might still want to do some trial swatches but what a great place to start.  Well, for me the best place to start would be to get a phone I can use it on... but that's another story.

Good Deed Punch Card

One good deed deserves another!
I just think this is the cutest idea.  Very creative and a wonderful way to teach the kids the Golden Rule.    It's a punch card for all their good deeds.  When they've filled up their card they get a special treat.  You can print them for free from Eighteen25.  LOVE IT!!!

Crafty Decorator Project

I was recently watching The Nate Berkus Show and they introduced me to a fun new project.  It's done with Krylon Looking Glass Mirror spray paint.  What an easy way to make your old glass into something new and exciting.  On the Nate Show they made old framed glass into cool framed mirrors.  Use painters tape to create unique patterns or designs (freezer paper might work well for this too).  Check out these pictures of possible projects and watch this video from The Nate Berkus Show: Tweek it Before you Toss it.  I'm so excited to give this a try!!!

First Posting

I have caught the blogging bug!  After searching on the web and coming across some fantastic blogs I thought I would put in my two cents.  I come across tons of wonderful ideas and items that I want to share and this will be my place to do so.  I love all things that make me happy, especially easy crafty projects, frugal finds and just plain great ideas and must have items.  I hope you enjoy what I have to share!

My current project came from Little Birdie Secrets.  It's cute little fabric rosettes.  Super Easy!!  Check out my first one.

Instead of making it with fabric I used grosgrain ribbon but I love how it turned out.
